Wananchi Telecom has rolled out (in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda & Malawi) its own hybrid licensed wireless and fiber optic network backbone; for redundancy and quicker entry to market. These provide WTL customers (ISP’s, Regional and Global Operators last mile access and back haul access to end users. Currently in order to provision End to End services, Wananchi Telecom leases last miles access networks from partner operators in Uganda, Burundi, Rwanda, Zambia, Mozambique, South Africa and plans are at advances stage to roll our optical fiber networks in Zambia, Uganda as well as Malawi.
